FUERMANN : : Henry Fuermann and Sons Frank Lloyd Wright Negative Collection
Description
An historic group of photographs of early Frank Lloyd Wright buildings executed by the Chicago-based photography firm of Henry Fuermann and Sons (active circa 1905 to circa 1933). Consisting mostly of original glass negatives by the Fuermann company, these images represent the finest imagery available of seminal Wright structures from the 1900s-1920s. The views were probably composed under the supervision of the architect. Two images show houses designed by William Drummond and Walter Burley Griffin. An additional group of 51 film negatives by other photographers that have traditional association with the Fuermann materials are included in the collection. OA+D Archives Collection Number 039.
